Natural Bridge Historic Site

Natural Bridge is arguably the most important site in the area’s history. It was a seasonal camp of the Modoc for thousands of years and a key river crossing on the Applegate Trail beginning in 1846. On November 29, 1872, the Modoc War began here.

Interpretive sign on site.
