Local Burgers Spots

What’s your favorite burger toppings? Are you a classic lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese kind of person? Or do you like the extra unqiue and unusual; ahi tuna, flaming hot cheetos, peanut butter and jelly? Whatever you are craving, Southern Oregon local burger spots will feed it.

ROSEBURG / NORTH UMPQUA

Backside Brewing Burger

Backside Brewing

While Backside is known for their beer you can’t miss out on their burger. They raise their own cows that they feed their own spent grain to. Enjoy a classic burger with all the fixins and don’t forget the goop (their secret sauce)! Choose from two locations in renovated historic buildings in Roseburg or Sutherlin.

Creekside Grill

Sometimes you find the best food in the most unusual of places and the Creekside Gas and Grill is one of those local burger spots. Enjoy hand made burgers at this family owned cafe located at the Shell gas station in Sutherlin. Get an old-fashioned classic burge or get them topped with homemade chili, a runny egg or even house-smoked tri-tip. You’ll leave with bellies full and like you were just fed the perfect comfort meal at home.

MEDFORD

Barney’s Better Burgers dining room

Barney’s Better Burgers

We love a classic burger joint and Barney’s Better Burgers is just that. Walk into what you would expect a 1950s diner to look like. The burgers are flavorful with everything from a regular Quarter Pounder to the specialty Spicy Tri-tip Philly Burger topped with locally smoked tri-tip, lots of cheese and spicy sauce. Finish it off with one of their thick milkshakes made with real ice cream (the peanut butter was our favorite).

Burger Spot

Burger Spot has been a staple in downtown Medford for years. Nothing overly fancy, choose from beef, chicken or veggie patties and a choice of toppings like mushrooms, bacon, jalapenos or pineapple.  They even offer gluten free buns if you need.

Fat Kid Food Co

Fat Kid Food Co came roaring on the Rogue Valley food scene back in 2019 and hit the ground running with their classic Cherry Street Smash burger. They immediately became the mascot for “cheat day meals’ with their Krabby Patty (soft shell crab on a burger) and Sumo Smash (topped with ahi tuna and tobiko). Since then, owner, Chaz has continued to shake-up the food truck world, gaining an almost cult-like following with fun and funky burger, burrito and noodle combinations. The menu and location change daily, so follow this local burger spot on Instagram so you can enjoy one of their craveable delights!

Jasper’s Cafe

Jasper’s Cafe has been a household name in the Rogue Valley since 1976. Known for their unique burgers you can enjoy not only grass fed Oregon beef, but wild game meats like elk, wild boar, kangaroo, bison, and sometimes deer. Enjoy your burger with their famous shakes, choosing from 20 different flavors.

Rogue Burgers

Rogue Burgers is a food truck grilling up fantastic fresh burgers made with local meat and organic produce. His menu is small and uncomplicated, focusing on putting out a flavorful quality product. You can find him in his regular spot at Awen Winecraft’s tasting room.

Pair your food up with a beer or their hand crafted cocktails and you’ve got the full Pump House experience.

ASHLAND

Flip

From start to finish Flip’s burgers are scratch made with pasture fed and finished beef and delicious homemade organic brioche buns. Every bite is delicious especially when you enjoy it with their house cut french fries. If you aren’t into beef they offer a vegetarian Shroom Burger that is fantastic, get it topped with Oregon Blue Cheese from Rogue Creamery and it will blow your mind!

KLAMATH FALLS AREA

Dagwood’s Burgers

Don’t let Dagwood’s Burgers nondescript storefront fool you, because inside are delicious burgers. Enjoy classic burgers with your choice of toppings and then decide if you want a store bought bun or their housemade bun (go for the housemade bun, we promise you won’t regret it).

David’s Brawny Burger

David’s Brawny Burger has been a Klamath Falls staple for over 30 years! Enjoy classic burgers and sandwiches with fries, tots or their house made onion rings. Go to the next level and order their special burgers that have brawny sauce on them and you will be craving the next time you can go.

Polar Bear in Merrill

Polar Bear is a classic burger joint that gives you all of the nostalgic feels of being a kid again. Get tasty burgers and fries and then choose from their milkshakes, floats, soft serve and more treats. If you go at night get a photo with their retro neon sign!

GRANTS PASS

Eddy’s

Eddy’s Burgers is one of those local burger spots that have been in the Rogue Valley the longest, since 1962. A small 50’s diner that not only has a large menu of burgers to choose from, they offer sandwiches, gourmet hot dogs and chicken wings. Don’t forget to finish off your meal with a slice of homemade desserts from Lemon Meringue Pie to Chocolate Cake.

Pastrami Burger at Valentino’s

Valentino’s
