The most important secret of them all? How to make the wines you like to drink. His clean, careful approach to winemaking favors pragmatic minimalism over dogma. Fruit is picked on the earlier side to maintain refreshing, natural acidity. Whole clusters and long skin contact are used for softer texture and tannin integration. Neutral oak to showcase the site’s authentic expression. The initial focus for Goldback is on Rhône varieties grown from 2 unique and sustainably farmed sites in the southeastern area of the Rogue Valley.
