Chateau Nonchalant Vineyards

Chateau Nonchalant was established in 1999 by Weldon and Vicki Manning in one of the small valleys of the Umpqua region. The south-facing hillside was planted with four varietals, including Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Malvasia, and Syrah, using grafted rootstocks that were carefully selected to match the microclimate and soil type of the vineyard.

The first production year was in 2005, and since then, the vineyard has been producing rich and complex wines while limiting the production to preserve quality, typically yielding less than 1.5 tons per acre.

The tasting room at Chateau Nonchalant exudes old-world comfort and a warm, friendly atmosphere. During the summer months, the patio is an ideal spot for small events and picnics. The winery is open daily, and you're invited to experience a unique and fun wine experience while learning the meaning of "nonchalant."
