Lookingglass Brewery

As a long time beer lover, Mark discovered craft beer when he and Lydia moved to Oregon in 2008. One day he held up a frosty glass and said to Lydia, “I can make this stuff!”

Armed with time, retirement funds, passion and NASA know-how from over 20 years on the job, the adventure was on. Equipment was purchased, a shop was built and home brewing began in 2011.

Over the next couple of years, recipes were enjoyed and refined. Many people, friends, family and even perfect strangers all encouraged them to sell commercially.

By 2015, Lookingglass officially began commercial brewing and selling kegs of beer. Word spread and folks were excited. It soon became apparent that a taproom was much needed.
