Wine Country License Plate Strategic Investment Funds for Region 3

Beginning in 2025, a Wine Country License Plate (WCLP) strategic investment process will be implemented to distribute our annual WCLP funds for Southern Oregon Region 3 (Douglas, Josephine and Jackson counties). It is Travel Southern Oregon’s goal as administrator of these marketing dollars, which are designed specifically to support wine and culinary marketing efforts, to create a transparent and predictable process for regional organizations and partners to submit wine and culinary marketing/support proposals for these yearly awards to help make positive impacts in Southern Oregon as a wine and culinary tourism destination.

The total funds available in 2025 for WCLP Strategic Investment Proposals is $25,295 in the Rogue Valley and $16,196 in the Umpqua Valley. Traditionally, grape acreage has been 40% in Douglas County and 60% in Jackson and Josephine Counties. We will strive to make a representative distribution accordingly, provided adequate quality projects are submitted from eligible organizations across the counties. If additional funding becomes available, we will inform stakeholders in a timely way.

These WCLP funds, managed by Travel Southern Oregon, may be applied for and used as a cash match against a larger Wine Country License Plate Grant request. Application window for these Wine Country License Plate Strategic Investments is June 1-June 30, 2025. Any non-profits, non-governmental organizations, Recognized Tribes, and Destination Marketing Organizations are encouraged to apply. Private businesses are encouraged to partner with eligible entities. Final allocated amounts are at the discretion of Travel Southern Oregon.

To apply review the guidelines and then fill out this form.

Applications for the WCLP Funds will be accepted June 1 – 30, 2025.

Funded projects will be posted below after applicant notification.
