Winchester Fish Ladder

Adult fish can be observed swimming upstream through a fishway on the famous North Umpqua River. Species present at different times of the year include steelhead, chinook salmon, coho salmon, trout, lamprey, northern pike minnow and suckers.

Directions: The viewing area is located just east of I-5 on Hwy. 99 north of Roseburg. Take exit 129 and head east. Turn right on Hwy. 99. The viewing area parking lot is located on the left, just before the Winchester Bridge.
