Pony Espresso has three locations: Ashland, Medford, and Jacksonville, OR
Pony Espresso was founded in 1995 in historic Jacksonville as the first drive-thru coffeehouse in Southern Oregon. Our namesake, “Pony Espresso,” was inspired by the historic Pony Express, known for its speedy “express” delivery of mail to the West. Our speedy drive-thru espresso service (express in Italian) is reminiscent of the way the Pony riders would stay on their horses as they sped through towns to collect and deliver mail, as our customers do from their cars (and sometimes on horseback). Our original Jacksonville store has a western-rustic, outpost-style, with wide plank reclaimed wood floors and walls, antique furniture, and expansive outdoor wood deck seating. “The Pony” has become a gathering hub for the citizens of Jacksonville and the Rogue Valley alike, just as the original Pony Express riders would have experienced as they passed through the small towns on their journey across the Western States.
