Green Springs Inn was established in 1981 and was originally opened by Barbara McHugh. The McGuire-Marsh family purchased the Inn in 1994 and were owners for nearly 30 years.
Initially they added the “Forest Room”, a large yurt for community events, weddings, and retreats. Eventually they purchased the 100 acre parcel adjoining the Inn and began building vacation rental cabins. They completed the first five cabins in 2009 and another four in 2013. The cabins were built largely with wood harvested, milled, and solar-kiln dried onsite. Other projects included building a small amphitheater and extending a network of trails on the property.
They were determined to be intentional stewards of the land, focusing on conservation efforts in the Green Springs and greater Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument (which was created in 2001). Helping to increase beaver populations became a specific concern and a project that represented hope in a world of issues.
Family-owned and operated for over 40 years, the Green Springs Inn has been passed between two families and in 2023 has found stewardship under a third. The Sablosky-Franz Family purchased the Inn in May 2023 and plans to continue the legacy of land stewardship, while bringing new ideas and modern design to this cherished community hub.
