1. Cary's of Oregon - "Creating a Toffee Tradition." Located off

offers large viewing windows to their factory. They also offer a tasting room
to soothe that sweet tooth lover in you. Headed west turn left on Union Ave. Cary's
is located right after Ringuette on your right.

Bridgeview Winery can taste an array of fine wines and picnic on the estate,
while enjoying views of landscaped gardens and pristine lakes. Many visitors opt
to overnight at Bridgeview's own bed-and-breakfast lodge, the Kerbyville Inn,
with five wine-themed suites. Bridgeview cordially invites you to visit the winery,
sit on the deck, and watch the sun set behind the mountains with a glass of wine
in hand. The winery includes a 75-acre field in Southern Oregon's Illinois Valley
to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris grapes.

Oregon, the former Siskiyou Vineyards Winery, and was planted in 1969 with Pinot
Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer. These wines are available under the
Siskiyou Vineyard label. The first wines produced under the Bear Creek label include
unique Bordeaux varietals. Tasting room is open to the public from Memorial Day
to Labor Day daily from Noon to 5 pm and after that by appointment only. Located
on Caves Highway just passed Holland Loop.
4. Oregon Caves National Monument
is small in size, 480 acres, but rich in diversity. Above ground, the monument
encompasses a remnant old-growth coniferous forest including a Douglas-fir tree
with the widest known girth in Oregon. Three hiking trails access this forest.
Below ground is a marble cave created by natural forces over hundreds of thousands
of years in one of the world's most diverse geologic realms. Turn south on Hwy
46/Caves Highway and follow this road for to the monument. Parking in the summer
is limited. Travelers are advised to get to the monument early (8:30-10 am). Check
the Oregon Caves
web site for tour hours.
5. Foris Vineyards - A visit to the winery
explains the choice for the name FORIS. Latin for "out of doors", foris conveys
the mood of the flowing rivers and lush, fir-covered Siskiyou Mountains which
surround our vineyards. Visit our tasting room open from 11am to 5 pmevery day
except some holidays. From the Oregon Caves turn left back on to Holland Loop
then turn left on Kendall Road.
6. There are 13 miles of the North
Fork Smith River in Oregon. Designated as wild and scenic in 1988, the
two "wild" sections extend from the headwaters to Horse Creek and from Baldface
Creek to the Oregon/California state line. The portion between Horse Creek and
Baldface Creek is designated "scenic." From Foris Vineyards follow Holland Loop
back to the Caves Highway. Turn left. Follow the Caves Highway back to Highway
199 in Cave Jct. Oregon. Turn left on the Highway and follow for approximately
20-30 minutes.
7. The Redwoods - Redwood National and State Parks are
home to some of the world's tallest trees: old-growth coast redwoods. They can
live to be 2,000 years old and grow to over 300 feet tall. Spruce, hemlock, Douglas-fir,
berry bushes and sword ferns create a multiple canopied under story that towers
over all visitors. The parks' mosaic of habitats includes prairie/oak woodlands,
mighty rivers and streams, and 37 miles of pristine Pacific coastline. Cultural
landscapes reflect American Indian history. The more recent logging history has
led to much restoration of these parks. From Highway 199, take South Fork Road
to Howland Hill Road.
8. The Ocean/Brookings, Oregon - Nestled on the
southernmost Oregon Coast, at the heart of America's Wild Rivers Coast, between
the breathtaking scenery of the Oregon Coastal Range and the Pacific Ocean, the
community of Brookings-Harbor offers an incomparable quality of life. It is a
place where wild and scenic rivers flow through towering forests, a place where
you can discover a quiet waterfront town overlooking majestic ocean vistas, and
a place where you will find some of the best weather and recreation on the west
coast. Follow Highway 199 until you reach the Oregon Coast Highway. Then turn
left.
