Enjoy outdoor adventures including fishing, rafting, and discovering waterfalls galore. Travel a designated National Scenic Byway to Crater Lake National Park and visit covered bridges, many local wineries, a Wildlife Safari drive-through animal park and more.

Explore the Umpqua Valley’s exciting history and natural history at the Douglas County Museum of History & Natural History. Tour the extensive reference library and historic photographic collection. The gift shop offers local, state and natural history books and gifts. Open daily.

The Umpqua Valley Arts Center was built in 1917 by the State of Oregon as a naval veteran’s hospital. Since 1979, it has been dedicated to fostering support for the arts and crafts of Douglas County. Monthly exhibitions feature some of the finest works of Northwest artists.

Whitewater Rafting
The North Umpqua River provides thrilling class 3-4 whitewater runs year-round. Guides and outfitters offer a variety of half-day to three-day trips.

Parks
Roseburg Chief Miwaleta County Park, Galesville Reservoir Fishing, waterskiing, swimming, pleasure boating. Group pavilion can handle groups up to 50. Isolated picnic area in wooded setting with lake views. Open 7am to dark, year-round.

Cooper Creek Reservoir-County Park
Boating, waterskiing, and fishing. Two separate day use areas each offering boat launching ramps and picnicking facilities. West area provides large transient float. East area for fishing.

River Forks-County Park
Located five miles west of Roseburg via Garden Valley Road. Picnic areas, soccer and baseball fields, boat ramp, playground. Open year-round, 7am to dark. Pets prohibited May 15-September 15.
